North Santa Rosa Wreck Claims One Life

March 26, 2010

A single vehicle accident claimed one life in north Santa Rosa County Thursday afternoon.

Jeffery Dwight Foster, 41, of Milton was killed in the accident on Highway 4 west of Hurricane Lake Road at 1 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol says Foster was westbound on Highway 4 near Munson when he lost control of his 2006 Chevrolet Z-71 pickup on the wet roadway.

The passenger side of the truck struck a pine tree by the roadway. Foster was transported to Santa Rosa Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

The FHP says Foster was wearing his seat belt.

Jeff’s last words to my husband – about an hour before his death – were “I’ll see ya later, Bro.” He had that big smile, like he always did. So many people loved Jeff. He always made you feel good, just to see him coming. He was always happy, always had that smile.

Our prayers are with you – his family – that God will give you the peace that passes all understanding in this time of incredible pain. How tragic for you that you lost him so soon and so suddenly – but how wonderful for him that he didn’t suffer, that he died happy and healthy – and went straight to paradise and now he’s walking and talking with his Lord and Savior, in a place so wonderfully incredible that we can’t begin to imagine it.

We’ll see you later, Bro. When we get there.
