Learn About Florida KidCare Insurance Friday At Northview, Byrneville

If your children are uninsured or are on the Medicaid share of cost program, there is an easy opportunity coming up on Friday to get Florida KidCare insurance for your children.
Friday, a Florida KidCare outreach advocate will be at Northview High School from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Byrneville Elementary School from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a direct computer application process, but the advocate will be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance.
In order to apply for Florida KidCare for your children, you will need to bring:
- Picture Identification
- Social Security numbers for the children
- Pay stubs from past four weeks (or), 2009 W-2 form (or) Most recent tax return
- Proof of child support, Social Security and or unemployment benefits
- Information on cost to add child to parent’s health insurance through employer

My daughter has been on this insurance for 10 years or so. I don’t know what I would’ve done without it. I make too much money for Medicaid, but not enough to afford her on my work insurance. The amount per month you pay depends on your income, but I have never paid more than $15 per month. There are never any copays at the doctor’s office and prescriptions are usually $10. I’m sure it varies person to person, but this is what my kidcare insurance is like. It’s awesome!
