Cantonment Man Arrested For Shooting Into Car

March 8, 2010

A Cantonment man was arrested Sunday morning after deputies say he shot at two people in a car.

musickcorey.jpgCorey Musick, 32, of Cantonment, was jailed on charges of  firing a weapon into a vehicle, aggravated assault and criminal mischief. He was released from the Escambia County Jail Sunday on $27,500 bond.

Musick had been out drinking with at least two other people. On the way back to Musick’s home, he got into an argument with a 30-year old female and grabbed her around the neck, according to deputies. Musick and a 30-year old male got out of the car near I-10 and Pine Forest Road and got into a fight before the trio drove to Musick’s Pine Forest Road Home.

That’s when deputies say Musick got a 9mm handgun and fired several shots back into the vehicle toward the other two people. Musick and the other man got into another fight before authorities arrived.

The man and women in the vehicle were not injured. Musick was transported to a Pensacola hospital and treated for injuries from the fight. He was arrested by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office once he was released.

My parents always told me that if I got into a fight that I had better be the one that wins or else get my butt tore up when I got home. If you dont know how to fight you can get killed.

Man it looks like that guy learned his lesson!!! And if not, then I’m sure Mr. Boyett can hook him up again!! Thats what he gets for being violent with a woman—bet he’ll never do that again!!

Looks like he got the short end of the stick and took a beating. Locked up is the right place for him and it’s too bad that he was able to post bond.

There was a time when you settled things like a man! Looks to me like it was settled, and Mr. Musick did not like the way it turned out. On the other hand I would like to see the other contestant face to judge for myself. I think when two people have a fight both go to jail, and cool off. My dad always said it take two to fight and both should pay.

If he was out drinking with the others, they must have been at least friendly at some point during the night. He’s lucky he did not kill someone, but he looks like he may have suffered the blunt end of the stick. Drinking and guns never mix.
