I’m sorry, but if the guy did it then he needs to be charged. At the same time did the girl lie to him about her age? Why do we put so much blame on the guy and think that the girl is all sweet and innocent? Some one post that we don’t know either one of the personally, but until the whole story comes out you will never know. Now alot of days girls look alot older and when they get busted by their parents they don’t tell the whole truth. I know this from experience….My 16yr old son is facing rape charges and he’s the one walking around like a zombie ready to end his life over this. The girl on the other hand is going around bragging about how she got him introuble. For one he never did anything with her and she wanted it to happen. I feel for guys now a days because all a girl has to do is yell rape and the guy gets introuble. Girls that read this need to grow up and realize that if you lie to a guy about your age and if you just say that it was rape so that your parents don’t know you’re having sex, you are ruining the lives of these boys.

    Aw she speaks from experience.
    Very brave of you bamagirl.

I know a woman who married young because he was loaded and
promised her everything under the sun, and told her he loved her.
Haaa she said, he abused her, and controlled her, and she
    ended up hating him.

I felt kind of sorry for her because someone didn’t tell her money
doesn’t make you happy, and she had to learn a very hard lesson.

She hasn’t done very well in her second marriage either. It’s more
like it looks like she has jumped from the fat into the fire.

Kathy I hope you find your way!

Bamagirl thank you for your frankness, maybe some will GET IT NOW.

Ummm….there is a reason its called Jailbait. You. Go. To. Jail. I think its pretty self explanatory. Oh yeah, and I was having a “consenual sexual relationship” at the age of 15, although he was only 17, that ended in teenage pregnancy. 15 yrs later I can speak from experience that 15 year old girls have no idea what their doing, even when they swear they do. Remember, this is the oldest and wisest that they have ever been. The 24 year old however…well he knew better.

    WTH,
I once knew of a man that was having sex with his teenage step daughter. He got turned in because she got mad… Does that just make her a brat and this guy an ok guy. I don’t think his EX-wife felt the same way as you. At 24 years old, this guy had just found someone he could manipulate. and he was. HE IS NOW A SEX OFFENDER, so be it if his life has an ugly mark on it. HE PLACED IT THERE by his actions. Don’t blame the brat after all at 15 you only think that you are smarter than the whole world.

  5. wth? on February 10th, 2010 9:38 pm

I have to agree with A, but there is also another problem with this kind of thing here recently. The sex will be consensual, but low and behold the guy will do something to make the girl mad, then she starts running her mouth that he “raped” her. Its just little teenage brats being spiteful, they don’t care that they are ruining someone for the rest of their lives, as long as they get the last laugh.

Years ago, kids were more matur at a younger age. The folks who married at 14, 15 or 16, stayed married. Today, most of our 14, 15 and 16 year olds are no where near as mature as the ones in years past. The law is the law. The ADULT is responsible for saying no. A 15 year, girl or boy, is not responsible or mature enough to have consensual relationship. There are reasons for laws being written. He knew he was breaking the law, he should pay. The juvenile on the other hand should also have consequences to pay such as detention, if this was consensual.

lued and lacivious, sexual offender, really need help, Should’ve waited
go to prison and get what you deserve.

  9. Angi on February 10th, 2010 10:21 am

Who is to say that this was consensual or rape? Do we know these two personally? Were they in a relationship? There had to be a reason why they called this charge rape… At age 24, this guy is a grown man and should have known better than to have sexual relations with a 15 year old minor anyway… So, if this guy did rape this girl, then he needs to face the consiquences of his actions…

Roll tide, why not. Is he better than all the others listed on the sexual offender site. I know what your trying to say, but he knew the law, just like all the underage brats that know that they will not be charged as an adult, because they get slapped on the hand and let loose.
You tell a baby no to start teaching them when they are just babys, by the time they are 2 – 3 years old they know what no means, they also try you to see what they can get away with. By the time a kid is 10 he better have a good foot hold on right or wrong. By the time he/she is 24 they go to jail.

  11. Roll Tide on February 9th, 2010 10:29 pm

IF this WAS a consentual relationship, it is a shame the guy will be titled as a “sexual offender” the rest of his life. I agree that he did use some bad judgement here, but it is not right for him to be a felon the rest of his life if it was conesentual.

Wild Bill…. I only wish someone would have stepped in when I was in my teens and a man 15yrs my senior was abusing me. The reason they didn’t? “If I didn’t like it I could have said no”

Not every story has a fairy tale ending…. sometimes it really is wrong.

  13. bill, big b little ill on February 9th, 2010 1:44 pm

For every action there is a reaction. Sometimes it’s called consequences.

  14. bill, big b little ill on February 9th, 2010 1:36 pm

    WILD BILL

Are you saying it’s ok if the childs judgement at 15 says yes. If thats so then I guess it was ok for the women that was just in the news for have sex with the underage boys. You have to draw a line some where and say it’s not ok. If not the next time the girl will be 10 and the young man will be 29, 30, 40, 50…..We see in the news all the time, people late 20s, 30, and on up making some very bad choices. We all make mistakes, but the law is the law.

  15. Splat on February 9th, 2010 1:19 pm

this guy is the adult and should know better. this is the same crap that screws women up for the rest of their life. I don’t think he should be charged with “rape”….I think that charge is much too serious if it was consensual. All the same, he is the adult and the law is the law.

  16. Wild Bill on February 9th, 2010 12:24 pm

Al, I see the point you are trying to make, but in my case it has missed the mark. I agree the world is a better place without outhouses and slavery, but I also submit the fact that 15 year old girls and 20 something guys are pretty much at the same maturity level. My point……it appears to have been consensual sex, and it is only being called rape because of Statutory Laws. Had those same laws been in effect not so many years ago, many of us wouldn’t be here today. Sometimes common sense needs to trump laws put into effect by our government in an attempt to protect us, when the protection is not really necessary. If the family disapproves of the relationship, then they need to step in and put a stop to it. Not get some immature 24 year old thrown in jail with the title of Sexual Predator for the rest of his life.

  17. AL on February 9th, 2010 11:18 am

I see your point, Wild Bill… but our grandparents / great grandparents also used outhouses and slaves.

  18. A on February 9th, 2010 10:53 am

key word “sexual relationship” i would think a relationship is what is says, relationship. rape is rape.

  19. A on February 9th, 2010 10:51 am

in the days we are living 9 times out of 10 its gonna be consensual but when the parents of these young girls find out they are having sex its always going to be considered rape.

  20. bill, big b little ill on February 9th, 2010 9:00 am

Wild Bill, did I miss something, (consensual)???? did it say that. I agree with or grand parents may have been placed in jail. Buy I sort of think that a 15 year old was taken advantage of by a 24 year old. big age diff. If she 24 and he was 33, then so what, but that’s not the case here.

  21. concerned parent on February 9th, 2010 8:11 am

why couldn’t he find someone of his own age. I live down this road and there is always law officers at this house.

  22. Wild Bill on February 9th, 2010 7:50 am

Be glad those are new laws, otherwise we would have a whole bunch of grandmas and grandpas guilty of rape. It wasn’t that many years ago when this type of consensual relationship would have resulted in marriage, not rape charges and imprisonment. My wife and I have 12 years age difference between us, although we were both over 18 when we started, there are a lot of older happily married couples who got their start just like these two young lovers. My great grand mother was 14 when she wed my then 22 year old great grandfather. Guess he should have been sent to prison instead of living in a caring commited relationship for some 50 plus years. Sometimes law does more harm than good IMO.

  23. Angi on February 9th, 2010 7:30 am

For crying out loud, what in the world has gone wrong with all of these people in this world today? All the rape, lued and lacivious acts with all these children… These people really need help badly (men & women)…

Should’ve waited a year, Kenny. Now look what you gone and did.
