Closings, Cancellations

(Updated 10:00 a.m.) Here is our latest list of closures, cancellations and schedule changes due to our winter weather:

Newest items are in bold.

  • First National Bank & Trust, Atmore, closing at noon. Plans to be open Saturday drive-thru 8-noon
  • Gulf Winds Credit Union in Atmore & Brewton. Pensacola, Milton and Gulf Breeze are open. Atmore plans to reopen Saturday, weather permitting.
  • Bratt-Davisville Water System until Monday
  • All public and private schools in Escambia counties Alabama and Florida, Santa Rosa County, Baldwin County. Make up day for Escambia, Ala., will be Monday. Make up day for Santa Rosa will be June 10. Other make up days have not been announced.
  • All Escambia County offices, including courts, elections, courts, sheriff’s administration, property appraiser. Property appraiser will be open 9 a.m. – noon Saturday to file homestead exemptions.
  • Escambia County public libraries. No fines for materials due.
  • Council of Aging of West Florida — including Century, Cantonment and other meal sites
  • University of West Florida
  • Pensacola Junior College
  • Whiting Field, except for essential personnel
  • Pensacola Naval Air Station
  • Child Discovery Center of the First Presbyterian Church
  • All Santa Rosa County offices
  • All Escambia County, Ala. offices
  • Pensacola Christian Academy
  • All Alabama state offices
  • Faulkner State, Bay Minette, closed
  • Escambia County Headstart

Currently reported open:

  • Century Pharmacy, regular hours
  • United Bank — normal hours anticipated at all locations until noon, depending on conditions.

We won’t publish the name or phone number unless you ask us to do so, but do need the information if we have any questions.

    I just spoke with Frontier on PCola Avenue, Atmore, before heading that way to pay my bill. They are currently open but the young lady who answered the phone stated they may be closing soon.

    Any bridge closures in Atmore or Northern Escambia Co. Florida?

    ECUA offices are opened today and sanitation collections are business as usual.

    ECUA offices will be closed on Monday, February 15, in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday, however sanitation collections will be not be affected and will be on as normally scheduled.

    Navy Federal as in the call center in Beulah? It is normal operations, everyone is expected to be at work and on time, so be sure to leave in a timely manner so you can be safe!

    Escambia County Florida Post Offices will be opened, haven’t you heard, nether rain, sleet or snow…….

    today, navy/fed said that you should call before coming in tomorrow, as they may be closed also

    Thank you for the update. Do you know if the post office in Escambia County Florida will be open tomorrow?
