Teens Again Tonight (Updated)

[Updated 4:45 p.m.] We are in for another cold night, with tonight’s lows forecast to dip down to about 15 degrees in the North Escambia area.
That, of course, means another hard freeze warning. But by the end of the week, we could be return to more seasonable temps with lows around 40 and highs in the 60’s. Here is your official North Escambia forecast:
- Tonight…Clear. Lows around 15. Northwest winds around 5 mph in the evening becoming light.
- Monday…Sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Monday Night…Mostly clear. Lows around 20. Southwest winds around 5 mph in the evening becoming light.
- Tuesday…Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Tuesday Night…Clear. Lows 23 to 28. North winds around 5 mph in the evening becoming light.
- Wednesday…Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s.
- Wednesday Night…Clear. Lows 28 to 33.
- Thursday…Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s.
- Thursday Night…Partly cloudy. Slight chance of rain. Lows in the upper 30s. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Out here off the coast of Houma, La. we finally broke 40 degrees for the first time in a few days. Also, the winds are only 14mph versus the 35mph winds we had two days ago. Its been really depressing and difficult on the new years diet.
Brrrrrr….. Guess this winter season is really winter, usually it hasn’t been this cold over the years aound this time… I sure hope everyone is being responsible with bringing those animals in out of these freezing temps, also make sure to bring your plants in if you haven’t already and leave your faucets dripping so there will be no busted pipes…
A couple of questions.
Are these record lows for this area or is it just cold?
If the Artic is thawing and melting away where do these cold winds originate that bring in these temperatures?
