January 23, 2010

Two Pensacola radio stations and a television station raised about $70,000 Friday disaster relief in Haiti.

CatCountry 98.7, NewsRadio1620 and WEAR Channel 3 teamed up for the special broadcast “Gulf Coast Help for Haiti” live from Cordova Mall. All day, the stations were broadcasting live from the mall as people stopped by with their contributions to the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

    YES Bill, I agree.
We should hold a fundraiser right here in Molino for proceeds and items to go to our local needy families as well. Wouldn’t that be great?

I think it’s great that everyone has come together raising money for Haiti. Don’t you wish when food banks and church groups ask for food or money to feed the hungry, homeless, widows, old folks or just plain out people in need that we could come together for America.
