Friday’s Highs Were Below Freezing; Tonight’s Lows Will Be Near 15

High temperatures Friday were anything but high — some of our North Escambia communities  stayed below the freezing mark all day. And tonight is going to be the coldest night we have had so far with mercury plummeting to about 15. Wind chills by Saturday morning are forecast to be in the single digits.

High temperatures Friday were: 30 in Bratt, 31 in Walnut Hill, 31 in Century, 33 in Molino and  33 in Cantonment.

A hard freeze warning continues in effect tonight and Saturday morning.

Here is your official National Weather Service forecast for the North Escambia area:

  • Tonight…Partly cloudy. Lows around 15. North winds 5 to 15 mph.
  • Saturday…Sunny. Highs in the lower 40s. North winds 5 to 15 mph.
  • Saturday Night…Clear. Lows around 15. North winds 5 to 15 mph.
  • Sunday…Sunny. Highs in the upper 40s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.
  • Sunday Night…Clear. Lows 14 to 19. North winds 5 to 10 mph becoming around 5 mph after midnight.
  • Monday…Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s.
  • Monday Night…Clear. Lows 17 to 22.
  • Tuesday…Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s.
  • Tuesday Night…Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 20s.
  • Wednesday…Mostly sunny. Highs around 60.
  • Wednesday Night…Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of rain showers. Lows 28 to 33. Chance of showers 20 percent.
  • Thursday…Partly sunny. Slight chance of rain showers. Highs in the lower 60s. Chance of showers 20 percent.
  • Thursday Night…Not as cool. Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of rain showers. Lows in the lower 40s. Chance of showers 20 percent.
  • Friday…Mostly cloudy. Chance of rain showers. Highs in the lower 60s. Chance of showers 30 percent.

    It could snow just a little bit to enjoy, beings that we all have to endure all this frigid air……That would be so nice..

    I guess this will shut up all the global warming theorists for a while. They never had any proof before but they will probably find some BS way to say that cooler temperatures prove that global warming exists.

    Low 40’s would have been nice. The highest temp on the thermometer at my office this afternoon has been 32. That’s just not right.

    Highs in the lower 40s —- that is kind of like saying “jumbo shrimp, pretty ugly or honest politician…. any temp in the 40’s can’t really be called a “high temp” haha
