Deputies Seek Home Depot Armed Robbery Suspect

January 19, 2010

Authorities are still searching for the person responsible for the weekend armed robbery of the Home Depot on Nine Mile Road.

homedepotrobbery.jpgAt about 6:40 Sunday night, about 20 minutes before the store would normally close, a store employee said a masked man with a gun forced him into the manager’s office and ordered him to open the store’s vault.  The employee was unable to open the vault.

When a manager entered the office, the gunman forced him to open the vault. The robber fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The store manager and the employee were left behind in the manager’s office, their hands bound with zip ties.

The gunman was described as being about 6 feet tall, about 160 pounds and in his early 40’s. He was wearing a dark gray jacket, gray Dickies band pants, black gloves with “mechanic” written on them, and gray shoes with blue stripes.  He had a thin mustache.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

    Red Tail Hawk!
A big thumbs up to you.
If you don’t raise your kids w/ rules and consequences, this is what it comes
    down to…..NO RESPECT!

Kids today know how to kill a deer, skin it and throw it in the truck.
They know how to clean a gun and point it and shoot it, but were
they first taught to respect life. Were they taken to the zoo, and talked
to about endangered species. Are they taught ALL the hunting
rules. DO THEY RESPECT LIFE! Every living thing has rights.
We are at the top of the food chain, that comes with responsiblity.

    Kids have no respect.
They don’t even know to open a door for a lady, or not use horrible
language in public or not at all.
I would have thought all these southern religious mother would
have done better. But how can you do better when you were raised
    that way.

However, as an adult, your suppose to learn and progress in your
    thinking.

How is a mother suppose to do everything she needs to do to
raise good kids, if she is at work during his first formative years.
And if your child is in CHARGE at 5, how will you ever keep him
in line at 15. YOU WON’T. If he rapes some girl and goes to
jail, it’s because of two things. No rules and consequences, and
    because of DRUGS!~

Video running everywhere. Sounds like a former or present employee who knew the closing routine. Probably stole the gloves and zip ties from the store. Between the SO and HD’s LP folks, this should solve pretty quick. Good luck!

I’m betting on the good guys to win this one.
