Baldwin Deputy Dies In Hunting Accident

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is in mourning following the death of one of their own.
Deputy Mike Malone, 33, was killed late Sunday afternoon in a hunting accident near Eutaw in Greene County, Alabama. According to the Baldwin Sheriff’s Office, Malone was hunting on or near a train track and was struck and killed instantly by a train. He was survived by his wife, Amy.
Deputy Malone has worked for the Baldwin Sheriff’s Office since 2002. He worked inthe criminal patrol division of the sheriff’s office until 2008 when he was transferred to his current position as an investigator in the criminal investigations division. Deputy Malone was also a member on the sheriff’s office Emergency Response Team.
“The Sheriff’s Office would ask that you and the people of Baldwin County pray for the Malone family and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office,” the Baldwin SO said in a news release.

As a marine Corps family member I have to say its hard to see a brother die , especially under these circumstances. ! Im hoping the feds and or God comes and cleanses south Alabama and west Florida. I have little doubt about the official story here

God Speed “Mayday” Malone!! He was truly the poster child for all to look up to in the Marine Corps; this is a sad day for all who knew him and came in contact with this great individual. You will be missed Devil Dog!!
I also served with “Mayday” Malone in the Corps! Great guy great Marine and I’m sure a great Deputy and family man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family to include the Sheriff’s department. Semper Fi Marine!
I too, served in the Corps with Mayday. He was a great guy to be around…never a dull moment. My condolences to his wife and family.
I was in the MARINES with Mike “MAYDAY” Malone from 1996 to 1998. He was my roommate. We in the MARINE community are saddened at the loss of one of our own.. He was a great guy. SEMPER FI MARINE. R.I.P
