Flooding Continues: Escambia River On The Rise

The Escambia River is on the rise again, and still causing flooding in North Escambia.

The flood warning continues for the Escambia River until further notice. At 9 a.m.. Sunday, the stage was 21.9 feet; flood stage is 17 feet. The river will continue rising to near 22.7 feet by early Monday morning, then begin falling. Flooding of pastures and farmland in the area will continue, and water will begin  reach Mystic Springs Road, Worley Road, Bamer Holley Lane and River Bend Road. The public boat ramps at Mystic Springs and Fairground Road (pictured) are underwater.

    yes this is at molino and i you all only knew how the house is built you would know why it floods when the river comes up. they built this house sitting on the ground as if they never knew that the river would rise. and trust me this is by far not the first time this has happend. these people must have good flood insurance.

    Seems like we get one of these floods every ten years or so. Hopefully it will be at least ten years before we see another one like this. Even through the river is still rising at Brewton and down stream, it was falling up stream according to all the gauges along the river. At River Falls, it was at 33.94 feet at 6:45 AM, down 1.95 feet in the last hour. Just below Point A dam, it was at 34.56 feet at 6 AM, down 1.2 feet in the past hour. At Brantley which is several miles above Point A dam, it was 16.45 feet, down .43 feet since midnight. The high water at Brantley was 20.58 at 9 AM Friday morning. Hopefully we won’t get a lot of rain the next few days and it will go down every where.

    good thing the house is not any lower, I pray the water level goes down, that is to close for comfort!! any water damage inside? Is this down toward Mystic Springs
