Thank you again. You are so helpful.
FHS student — Hwy 29 to Century. From there, it would depend where in Flomaton you needed to go. They are letting local residents in most areas. You would probably need to ask a police officer or fireman.
Thank you Mr. Willam. Also how would someone get home from work if they worked in Pensacola?
FHS student — They have not officially said. We will post as soon as they do.
Mr. Willam is there any word on if FHS is going to be closed tomorrow because of the school being flooded?
No word on any of the schools tomorrow. I know Escambia, FL is looking at the situation.
William, is there any word on our local FL schools for tomorrow? Looks like we may have flooding here by morning.
Why does someone always have to bring something up about the Alabama kids going to Florida schools? That is beside the point. All the flooding and heavy rains did not just stop at the state line. There are plenty of roads that are impassable in Northern Escambia county in Florida. Also, Baldwin county schools opened today even though there are many county roads closed. These two counties are similar, in that, the school systems ignore the Northern ends of the county when making the decision about closing or not.
Well, if the Atmore kids were going to school where they should be, they could have the day off too!
I agree with Emily, If Atmore is closed/ Northview–EWMS–and Bratt should close.. they already said that Greenland Rd is closed at highway 4–duhh, close the upper part of the county–Not geting my child out in this mess.
This makes no sense, what if you cannot go any where because of the flooding. I am not getting in this mess, taking a chance, especially with my kids with me. Florida needs to close also. The roads are going to be very dangerous today, so whoever gets out in this mess be careful and may God be with you!
Also, Brewton City Schools will be closed today as well. I am a teacher there. Just got a call from my principal a few minutes ago.
