This young man is very blessed…our 24-year-old daughter was killed by a drunk driver in 1990. I hope this wakes him up.

This is why I have always told my children and their friends that if they have been drinking, CALL ME anytime of the day or night and I will drop everything and come get them, no questions asked. I’ve gone out to pick people up at all hours many a time and never complained because I would rather have my sleep disrupted to bring them safely home and protect the others on the roads than to be awakened by the bad news that someone has been in a wreck and killed or maimed themselves or others. I wish that more parents would tell their kids this instead of just “don’t drink and drive” and then follow through with it. I don’t condone their drinking habits, but I’d rather them be alive and safe than scared to call me because they don’t want to hear a lecture.

People should not drink and drive, you’re not only risking your life, but other lives as well… If you wanna drink, think about having a designated driver; or just do it at home so if you get to drunk your bed isn’t to far to fall out in…
