Basketball: Tate, Jay And Flomaton Results

In area high school basket ball action, results were good for the Flomaton and Tate boys, and bad for the Jay Royals. In girls action, both Tate and Jay came up short.

Freeport 51, Jay 45

Freeport beat the Jay Royals 51-45. The Royals were led by Steven Brabham with 17 and Hunter Boutwell with 14. Tyler Prescott had 11 rebounds for the Royals.

Milton held a 14-6 lead over the Tate Aggies at the end of the first period, but the Aggies rallied for a 60-55 win.

The Royals had 24 turnovers as the lost to Freeport 53-48. Tessa Hendricks was the only Royal in double digits, with 14 points on the night.
