Take A Stroll Down Memory Lane Tonight
November 5, 2009
Many downtown Atmore merchants will give area residents the chance to stroll down memory lane during the Déjà Vu Vintage Walk tonight.
From 4 until 7 p.m., downtown merchants will display vintage items along the sidewalks in or their stores. Most items displayed will be at least 50 years old.
The event is open to the public. For more information, contact the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce at (251) 368-3305.

Oh if we only had the “Sweet Shop” , they had the best rum cake in the world! with Mrs. Hall and the “Escambia Drugs” soda and food bar. Had my firt chocolate malt there.
It is so sweet just thinking about them and the wonderful people. Window shopping at the “Cinderalla shop” , “Tot Shop” so many, many long past memories.
Thanks for having this event and letting us slow down a little.
This would be so wonderful to attend. Shopping downtown Atmore 50 years ago was a BIG deal growin up in Century….bought Easter clothes there, daddy competed with the house theatre (he owned the drive in in Century), registered my silver pattern at the jewelry store on the corner with all the girls in my senior class, ate good food at restaurants, heck we even had our senior prom in Atmore at the country club. Ya’ll enjoy…maybe next time I can come. Great idea Chamber, perhaps you could convince the idiots in Pensacola’s group the value of value.
