Northview High Honors Veterans
November 19, 2009
Northview High School held their annual Veterans Day program Wednesday morning at the school.
During the program, which was rescheduled from last week due to Tropical Storm Ida, Walnut Hill resident Billy G. Ward recounted his recent Emerald Coast Honor Flight to the World War II Memorial in Washington. Ward explained each leg of the journey while the Northview students viewed photos Ward took for NorthEscambia.com. To view the photos, click here.

I know there are many, many more veterans who are not named in our communities living right beside us. Ask any older (mostly men) if they were in the service. For some reason not all volunteer this information.
They will tell you it was just what you did. They are proud, humble, brave soliders of our “America”. They lost a lot of brothers, sons, fathers and friends as we are losing now.
It is really great and a wonderful thing to see our generation honor them. So as we go on about our daily lives let us thank, reconize and pray for all those who have gone to battle for us and those in battle for us right now and dieing as you read this.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. To GOD be the glory for a land like America and the brave soliders he created.
As it is often said nothing is free.
I pray that I will see and reconize my heros’ this week. If you come across one or more, tell them thank you, may GOD bless them for me please.
