Accident On Tedder Road In Century

The Century Station of Escambia Fire Rescue responded to a single vehicle accident on Tedder Road.

The accident happened about 6:55 about a half mile from Highway 4. The Florida Highway Patrol says Lisa K. Lyons, 35, of Atmore, lost control of her 1997 Ford Explorer in an “S” curve and hit a small embankment. Lyons was transported to Atmore Community Hospital with minor injuries.

Lyons told the FHP that the inside compartment of the vehicle begin to fill with smoke from the dashboard, which caused her to lose control the vehicle. She was not charged in connect with the accident.

The Century Station of Escambia Fire Rescue and Escambia County EMS also responded to the call.

    Can you read????? Her car was filled with smoke and lost control. She wasn’t speeding. You can have an accident without speeding.

    That’s three accidents up here in one weekend. SLOW DOWN Dang it!!!!

    Hang up those cell phones, choose a radio station, quit arguing, putting on make-up, shaving or what ever else you are doing and DRIVE THE VEHICLE before you kill someone.
