I want to add something to what “NHS Parent of a Senior ” wrote in the comment below.

The person that tried to put a stop of the N.H.S. homecoming parade was not local — it was a Pensacola person outside of our community.

Many people don’t realize how close the parade came to being cancelled because of this person. Several people worked very hard Thursday to make sure the parade could still happen on Friday.

And I think that not very many of us realize how hard William at northescambia worked on Thursday to make it happen. If it were not for William, I think the parade would have not happened Friday. He does a lot more in our communities that many people realize sometimes.
Thank you William and thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Weaver and everyone that worked so hard on OUR parade. And thank you to every one of the NHS students that took part or watched. And to the community thank you for showing up to support our school!

Teacher NHS- A Bratt Christmas Parade will be an awesome event and I am looking forward to it and really hope that it happens as you have said in your comment.

I also hope the person (and they know who they are) that tried to stand in Northview’s way to prevent the community from enjoying a Bratt Homecoming parade from taking place, learned their lesson and will mind their own business so we can all plan and enjoy a Bratt Christmas Parade and future Homecoming parades.

We need all the joy, excitement and spirit we can get in these hard economic times that we are all struggling to make it through!

Thank you to each and everyone of you that made this homecoming parade possible and a special thank you to Sherriff Morgan for looking out for us up on the northend of the county. And to WEAR TV3 (Molly Barrow) for participating and covering the parade, I hope you all enjoyed your involvement with the students and community.

Bratt Elementary was so excited to be able to take part in this great event. It was such a fun parade for our students.
Of course, we wondered how the rest of the community and surrounding communities responded. All I can say is WOW! Looking at all the wonderful photos, it was a HUGE SUCCESS! Young and old (yea – Uncle James – I saw you – just kidding), everyone looked like they really enjoyed it. Let’s do this again next year!
Thank you northescambia.com for the excellent coverage.

Proud citizen of the great Bratt community and teacher at BES!

The Class of 2010 will have another float next year, but we will also have alot more candy. Thanks for everyone who helped me as well as the people who supported it.
