Minorities Can Learn About Doing Business With ECUA

October 4, 2009

Minority owned and operated businesses can learn more about doing business with the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority during a two-hour event Thursday night in Pensacola.

ECUA will present “An Evening of Information and Opportunities” from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the Pensacola Improv Center, 375 N. Pace Boulevard. The event is designed to improve communications between the ECUA and minority-owned and operated businesses.

The informational meeting is not a job fair, but an opportunity to educate attendees about the potential of doing business with the ECUA, while increasing participation in obtaining ECUA contracts. Participants will learn about the bidding process, qualification requirements, future business opportunities, and how the ECUA hiring process is conducted.

“An Evening of Information and Opportunities” is co-sponsored by the Gulf Coast African American Chamber of Commerce and will include presentations from the ECUA purchasing and human resources departments, handouts, and a question and answer session.
