Man Attempts To Rob Flomaton’s Subway Using His Finger As A Weapon

October 26, 2009

A man attempted to rob the Subway restaurant in Flomaton Sunday night using his finger as a weapon.

The man reportedly put his finger under his shirt to make it appear that he had a gun when he attempted to rob the business about 10 Sunday night. He was described as a white male in a gray shirt wearing a baseball cap. He fled in an unknown direction from the restaurant.

There were no injuries in the robbery attempt.

A K-9 unit from the Escambia County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office was used to search for the suspect. The tracking dog lost the man’s scent in the 1900 block of Poplar Street, about a block from the restaurant. The K-9 unit called off their search about 11:30 p.m.

Further details were not available.

I bet there’s not much crime on 113 and 31 North, too much law enforcement activity.

“Another sign of hard times, me thinks.”

Yep, sad when all you can afford is a finger.

I’m glad my Number 2 son no longer works there since he might have been hit by a ricocheting fingernail.

Had the Flomaton PD been in down town Flomaton keeping an eye /watching the businesses that are opened late instead of on 113 TRYING to make a traffic stop the would be robber may have been captured. The PD is NEVER in town they are always on 113. It is only a matter of time before someone truly gets hurt. Flomaton Needs Police Officers that care about what happens IN town not everywhere else. They are either on 113, or at the Police Station. Never do you see them patrolling the streets of Flomaton. That drug bust article looks great with there names in it, how does this article look with NO FPD ?

If someone had been there that had a concealed weapon permit they could have removed this dummy from the gene pool.

Next time this moron might have access to a gun. Then what might have happened? Better if he dies than he kill someone else.

The funny thing about this is, I use to work at Subway and its not possible to have over $100 in your register….. The computer makes you do a drop.
