Driver Flips On Highway 29
October 6, 2009
One person escaped serious injury in a single vehicle accident south of McDavid this morning.
The accident happened about 8 a.m. on Highway 29 near Cotton Creek Road when the driver of a Ford Focus lost control, ran off the road and flipped over into a muddy ditch. The Focus came to rest upside down in the ditch.
The driver, who initially refused treatment, was transported by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. The McDavid Station of Escambia Fire Rescue, Escambia County EMS and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the call.

We as a family would like to thank all the friends and extended family for the prayers for our nephew. He’s very blessed to be walking around. Brandon this is to let you know that we love you very much, not ready to let you go. Brenton, we want to say, we love you to, we appreciate all the help you gave at the scene, you’ll always be there for us, no matter what the situation may be, my dad is looking down on you and keeping a watchful eye on you as well. Thanks also to the EMT and State Trooper for taking care of my best friend. The most important is thanking the good Lord above, he’s got plans for Brandon that is why he’s still with us…..Love you much Brandon
