Century Man Gets Nine Months In Jail On Drug Charges

A Century man arrested during a Century drug sweep  back in May has been sentenced to nine months in the count jail on possession charges.

dubosegeorgehenry.jpgGeorge Henry Dubose, 33, was arrested May 27 at his 21 Ramar Street home as SWAT teams executed 10 search warrants and made 19 felony drug arrests across Century. He was charged with cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dubose was found guilty on both charges and sentenced to 270 days in the Escambia County Jail on each count to run concurrently, with credit for seven days he was incarcerated after his arrest. He was also ordered to pay a public defender lien of $100, and he had his driver’s license revoked for two years.

    No drivers license for two years. How does our legal system think that is going to help. A person needs to drive to get to work. I guess he can work out of a home again. The system is not set up to help people just to trap them. Maybe he should think about a methlab next time maybe he could get no jail time. I would like to know how to get on the list of special people that can do crimes and not go to jail.

    bratt resident with meth lab recieved no jail time only probation wrong is wrong no matter who you are . whats up with our legal system.
