Cantonment Man Dies In Highway 29 Wreck

A Cantonment man died in a single vehicle accident on Highway 29 early Saturday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Kevin D. Clifton, 26, of Cantonment, was killed in the crash at 1:18 Saturday morning at Highway 29 and 9 1/2 Mile Road. The FHP says Clifton’s 1992 Lexus drifted off Highway 29, struck a culvert, became airborne and rolled on the shoulder. Clifton was ejected.

According to the crash report, Clifton was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident is still under investigation by the FHP.

    Kevin was a great friend and would take his shirt off his back to help anyone who needed it. I worked with Kevin and hung out with him quite often. He missed his daddy and now he don’t have to miss him anymore. Kevin will be remembered and not forgot. I will miss him.

    Kevin was a good man and friend he work with Larry at there place of employment. Hard to believe some one so young and full of life is gone. But he gone to be with the one person he could not live without , his daddy. Rest in peace Kevin your with your daddy again . We will all miss your smile laugh and loving personality.
