I know most on here think 18 months then released is a light sentence, but the worst part of that sentence is that he is a registered sex offender. Try and rent an apt,get a job,or do anything at all with your life with that on your record. GOOD LUCK!

THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE ARE DOING WRONG. YOU ARE STAYING HOME AND WATCHING THIS ON YOUR TV’S AND READING ABOUT IT ONLINE.

GET UP AND WALK IN THE COURTROOM, FILL THEM UP WITH CONCERNED AND SERIOUS MINDS. THE JUDGES WILL THEN DO THE RIGHT THING. THAT’S WHAT IT’S GOING TO TAKE. DO IT, DO IT, DO IT.

This is just sad.A drug charge,DUI charge, theft charge, battery charge, fraud charge,no DL charge, gets you life without parole but when a child has been raped or molested you get out scot free(18 months).I guess that why so many of these kind of people keep doing the same thing.

Judge Bell? I saw this judge send a lady to prison for 5 years for driving on a suspended license, and she had like 3 or 4 kids. What is wrong here? People need to stand up for children and voice their feelings out loud! I am so tired of this I know I would have had to make a choice also and I would have to be judge and jury. But if done right there wouldn’t even be any thing these want to be god like judges could do. Always remember we have the stand your ground law. You was in fear for you life, They was going to kill you! Are there is also the old way remember when you had to at least go to the far room of the house so you could say you tried to get away! (to bad a child couldnt get away!) The probation yes thats the thing so when he does it again then they can give him extra time I wonder if he can make it 10 years? When these people move into your neighbor hood post there pictures!

Please tell me thats a typo, and that it’s really supposed to read “18 years” versus “18 months”?
The only charge that stuck was the lewd and lacivious conduct?

Molino Jim, I missed something though, where was Rodney blaming the cops? Did the post change?

it really bothers me that the judicial system can live with themselves knowing that a child was tortured like this, but yet this man only gets 18 months in prison. which he will only do about 1 year. I am not saying drugs are right by no means, but you have guys in prison on drug charges for life. 18 months is nothing but some free time for this man to sit back and think about what he is going to do when he gets out…………hurt another child. That child will never be the same agian. Now, what if this childs parent/parents decided they would take matters into their own hands, and hurt this man or killed him, betcha they would be in prison for a very long time. This whole situation does not make any since whatsoever…….that goes to show you that the world is slowly coming to end. May God Bless this Child!

  10. For Harsher sentences on September 21st, 2009 12:38 pm

I agree that the heaviest sentences should be reserved for those who committ crimes against children and women . If you pray on a woman or a child the first time should be the final time…..no cure no second chance. Then we should start teaching our boys in the home that abuse toward any one is NOT acceptable and will receive the worst sentences.

If someone does something like this to one of my kids, i will be JUDGE and JURY and save the taxpayers alot of money and remove some scum from this earth.95% of the time ,children are molested by a family member ,friend of the family or neighbor.5% by a stranger.

it does seem odd that the assault and molestation charges were dropped. I wonder why that was? If the case was a strong one I would think they would not drop any portion of the charges. The legnthy probation also makes me wonder how strong this case was.

Rodney– Please do not blame the “cops” for some thing like this. They did their job by getting this person into the system by arresting him. Not having seen a case file or as Paul Harvey would have said knowing the “rest of the story” it’s hard to know why he did not get a lot more time.

He’ll be out in less than a year.

  15. Robert on September 21st, 2009 7:59 am

If they know he did this he should be shot, then they can start sending a message to these people. Laws are not tough enough.

this doesn’t surprise me…the court systems suck here in florida! we as parents try to protect our kids, give them love and etc and when someone goes under that “parent responsibility”…(like a stranger) and take a advantage of it…they really do get a friken slap on the wrist and nothing else…unless they decide to torture their victim when they get out of jail…these innocent children are FOREVER scorned and punished for what this other person they trusted had done to them…that’s IF they don’t come back to them…i feel for them..i’m a parent of 2 little girls myself and wouldn’t even imagine the pain to endure on the child…florida needs to be alot more stricture on child predators…especially the one’s that haven’t even made their status known…thats y all them come to florida…slap on the wrist and enjoy more torture on innocent kids…ooooooh that makes me mad!

  17. rodney on September 21st, 2009 2:03 am

Here we go again….To all you child molesters out there go ahead and do the most horrible crime outside of murder and get a slap on the wrist while this child will live the rest of his/her life mentally and physically scared. Chances are now the child might grow up and get on pills to try and supress the feelings of guilt, anger, ect…or go to the extreme of suicide while this SOB will be fed three meals a day, cable, clean clothing on my friggin tax dollars. When I read these types of sickening things it makes me question what this world is really coming to. Look at the couple that sold pills and they got 15 yrs. I bet if it had been a judges child or a police officers child he wouldn’t get this little slap. Sick of child molesters getting away with such horrible crimes. The laws need to be re-evaluated.

Strange that he dropped the assault and molestation charges but kept the L & L. I wonder why.

  19. Tired of Trash on September 21st, 2009 1:05 am

The sick thing is that children have a life sentence (so to speak) after being molested and/or raped but the person who did it to them always get out of prison. Why has our country and community become empathetic towards criminals….especially those who commit crimes against others.
Statistically sex offenders are caught re offending 70% of the time. I wonder how many of the 30% just aren’t caught but continue to offend. I know of one…make that two ways to make sure that they will never hurt anyone again. The law says we can’t kill them so to me they get off easy if they spend every last day of their life being tortured by the four walls of a prison.
