Crimestoppers?? A BIG FAT JOKE!! nothing but a justification to employ a few people.
If you can get crimestoppers to answer the phone! I have called a couple of times on different days and never could get anyone to answer. I saw a wanted fugitive on their crimestopper program on BLAB TV and I knew the guy was already in Century Correctional………. couldn’t get an answer to let them know. I haven’t heard anything good about Crimestoppers.
The problem with crimestoppers is that it may take a week for them to forward the info to the correct agency.
I hope if anyone has information about any crime, that they call the sheriff’s office and not Crime Stoppers. I have called them twice in 30 years, and they were not helpful. The last time, they wanted to know the address of a wanted man I reported seeing in Wal Mart. They said they could do nothing without an address. What? They thought I was friend’s with him or that I followed him home? Months later he was caught here after being shown on America’s Most Wanted.
