Interested In Pre-K Program At Molino Park?

August 12, 2009

Molino Park Elementary School does not currently offer a pre-kindergarten program, but the school’s leaders hope that will change this year.

“Parents in the Molino Park district have long wished for a Pre-K unit at Molino Park,” Principal Alice Woodward said. “The time is right and opportunities may be forth coming.”

Woodward said there is a chance that Molino Park could be able to open one Pre-K class for this, the 2009-2010 school year.

Interested parents should call the school at 587-5265 and express their interest in the Pre-K program. Parents should be prepared to give their child’s name and birthday, parent’s name and contact information.

Molino Park needs 10-15 students to open the program, Woodward said.

This would be great. When I attended the old Molino School there was this program, and it would be great to see the program continued on! My son should be able to attend it in a few years! :)

I would love for Molino Elem. to open a pre-K. My 2 oldest already go there and I have a son who would be ready for pre-K 2010/2011 yr. The closes one to us is Sid Nelson and I really don’t like the area and gas prices are riduculious!!!

This is a good thing. Maybe this will continue until my little girl is old enough!

I am really excited to hear that is a possibility. I hope it works and will be available for next school year 2010/2011. I live in Molino and was able to get my oldest in the preK program at Sid Nelson last year but I had to take her and pick her up every day due to no busses for molino. Being on such a tight budget it really took its toll in gas. Even if I did have to transport to molino park it would not cost me half of what it did to Sid Nelson.
    Thanks

i AM GLAD TO SEE THAT A CHILD CAN ATTEND PREK WITH OUT IT BEING BASED ON INCOME. THIS WAS VOTED ON BY THE TAXPAYERS SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I UNDERSTAND THAT BRATT WILL ALSO HAVE THIS PROGRAMCENTURYHAD IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
