Fire Heavily Damages Meadows Road Home
August 19, 2009
Fire heavily damaged an unoccupied home on Meadows Road near Davisville Tuesday night.
When firefighters arrived on scene just after 8:30 p.m., they reported smoke coming from the home.
Authorities said that no one currently lives in the residence, but the electricity in the home was still on. A preliminary investigation determined the fire started in the attic of the house. It was believed to be electrical in nature, possibly related to lightning earlier in the day. The fire was contained mostly to the attic and rear of the home, but the home did suffer smoke damage throughout.
There were no injuries in the blaze.
