Attempted Robbery At Century Bar Leaves Bandit Empty-Handed

Authorities are searching for the man the attempted to rob a Century bar late Monday night.
The attempted robbery happened just before 11 p.m. at Odom’s Bar on East State Line Road at the Alabama/Florida line. Authorities said a black male displayed a handgun in an attempt to rob the business at the drive-thru, but he fled on foot without getting any money.
The black male was described as being about 5-foot 6-inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. The clerk told deputies the would-be robber was wearing dark clothing, and his face was covered with a bandana as he displayed a silver handgun.
Deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department were on the scene in less than five minutes. They searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Well my opinion is you ask for trouble when you go into a place like Odom’s Bar.
Monday nights are very so……… i just about bet you he went and hide in one of the fema traliers behind the bar becuase after all the cops left Ivey St about 5 guys came out of the trailers dressed in all balck and stood out in the road but the officers didnt know that but before that they all had on white t-shirts after the cops left yep they changed into black they know who done it!
iI don’t know about now but there was a time when he wouldn’t have made it out of odom’s with his own wallet much less anyone elses. just kidding … kinda sorta
What did he not get any money. That bar is usually full of people. It is in in a dangerous place to pull out into the highway. The robber has to be dangerous to go into a bar on a main street and pull a gun hope Maybe he will be caught soon. This may keep some people from drinking and driving.
