More Persons Of Interest In Billings Case
July 25, 2009
Friday afternoon, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department interviewed another person of interest in the murder of Byrd and Melanie Billings.
Sheriff David Morgan declined to name the person investigators were interviewing, saying that many of the persons of interest that have been interviewed in the case turned out not to be remotely suspect.
“Many of them have timelines or alibis that rule them out,” the sheriff said. Friday, the department added more people to their list of people they want to talk with concerning the case, he said.
Morgan said he still believes there is a suspect that was tasked with disabling the security system at the Billings’ home in Beulah, and he expects more arrests to come in the case.

look if this whole thing was just for what little money these people had in there house everyone in on this needs to be shot for being dumb so many people in on this did they think they was really going to get enough money to split between them to make anything. And why kill these people? I am just so thankful that none of these children got hurt. I think that everyone in this world has a price. It could be for what ever that person loves are needs. But not many of us would go this far for so little. And I don’t know many people who could find so many people to go along with it. I think that would be the sadiest part of all of this, If all of these people was so dumb to think that they was going to walk away from this like it never happened. And we all know how people talk about stuff all 8 had to have told atleast one person. very few people could hold that in and I only know one person who could and still even they would talk when they found out Someone did this in front of children. Does anyone know if they atleast locked the kids in another room are did they just figure they would be ok. Look I know I sound like a bad person but my child was friends with one of the children there and my child still worries about there friend being ok and hopes they didnt see this. So what ever reason was behind this I am thankful they was not killed but i pray in time they can over come the horrer they must have saw. At the same time the 16 year old who was with them is still also a child and the people who took this childs life away should be charged for that. its scary if we think back to when we was 16 what we could have been talked into. This is so sick to think about all the children hurt in this, even the childrens whose parents did this have to live with it.
