June 24, 2009

An Escambia County Sheriff’s Department prostitution sweep through the Brownsville community landed 16 people in jail — including a mother and her daughter, and a 14-year old.

The Monday night and early Tuesday morning operation included 10 arrests for solicitation for prostitution, five arrests for procure (offering) for prostitution and one warrant service.

One person additional charges of marijuana possession. Another subject was charged contributing to the delinquency of a minor for having the juvenile, who was also arrested for solicitation, with him during the encounter with undercover deputies. Another was charged with possession of a controlled substance for having Xanax bars.

The Sheriff’s Department also seized one vehicle, Xanax and 57 grams of marijuana.

which one is the child’s mother??/ She ought to be HUNG! What’d she have a kid for, to make her a living???????? Can you imagine what diseases this little girl may have, or better yet, what if she ended up pregnant? I hope child services doesn’t fail her like they have so many other kids………..

The womens group at Brownsville Assemly of God does or did an outreach program geared to the prostitues. I think one year they gave out 40-50 gift bags that included bibles and other items.

I just wish the ladies could/would/should find another way of living and the guys find another way of getting laid. Thats just STD’s, AID’s, HIV, or Hep waiting to happen…

    NASTY!!!

“why is the 14 year old in jail? seems child protective services should be protecting and sheltering this child.”
It appears the sweet thing was attempting to purchase sexual favors.
As such he would not have been a victim but a client.

It looks like a person would stop to think and take a really good look and make sure that is what they want before getting mixed up in it!!!!!
But,alas,if people did take the time…..these lovely ladies would most definitely be out of a job!!!!

So, the 14 yo was a boy and I guess the man in the picture to the left was taking the kid along for show and tell?? People never cease to amaze me. I am glad that they are off the streets, but I am sure will be back at it in no time.

When I look into the eyes of these ladies, I see an emptiness, shame, and sadness. It breaks my heart to see this…but more than that, it hurts the heart of Jesus. Christians…we need to especially pray for the people of our area. Many people are bound by hurts/pains of their past, sin, addictions and the list goes on. I understand that each individual has and makes a choice…but who will go to them and let them know their is hope, freedom, and forgiveness?
