Have a good game today Chiefs, implement your training, and lets your instincts take you to the win. You have a great group of people supporting you that know the wins can come now. Don’t let outside influences shade your determination. Go Chiefs.

I noticed in Sunday’s edition of the PNJ that Tate softball beat the mighty Gators from Escambia for the district title. Thats great. Looks like the once proud tradition of Tate softball is back.

In the box score I noticed that Tate’s pitcher was 21-3. Wow! It is amazing how much a softball pitcher’s arm can take. The underhand motion puts so much less stress on the elbow and shoulder as compared to the overhand motion. Just goes to show you really can’t o ver throw a softball pitcher unless the rest of the body , mainly the legs, is not conditioned.

Hey Girls, you have to hold your head high after that game. Very few mistakes. Just a well played ball game by S.Walton. They have the speed and probably the strongest pitcher you faced this year. Mark is right,,,,I think she got stronger as the game progressed. With a pitcher like that you have to jump on her quick. Don’t let her get ahead in the count. She never struggled throwing strikes and once she got a strike on you she was very good at keeping us off balance. Several times I heard coach tell ya’ll to jump on the first pitch and she was right.
Don’t get the wrong message here. You girls can beat them if you have the opportunity again. You just have to be very aggressive and play mistake free ball. Good luck Tuesday with Holmes County,,,,we’ll be there rooting ya’ll on.
Oh yeh, one other thing. Always lift each other up, let the coaches do the correcting. It is too easy for our aggression and emotion to be taken out on each other, when it should be directed competitively toward the opposing team.
    Go Chiefs!!!!!!!!!

We’re proud of you girls….overall a very well-played game. Sometimes you have to tip your cap to the other team. Their pitcher seemed to get stronger as the game went along and was very difficult to hit in the later innings. They also had good team speed which puts a lot of pressure on the defense. The good news is, once someone sets the bar, you know what you have to do to surpass it. Work hard and beat Holmes County. Go Chiefs!
