Ernest Ward Cheerleaders Take Second Best In Nation

(With Link To Video)The Ernest Ward Middle School cheerleaders have taken second best in the entire nation Sunday afternoon in Orlando in the Universal Cheerleaders Association competition.
The EWMS cheerleaders took first place in the UCA West Florida Regional in November at Tate High School. Their score was so high that they automatically bypassed the preliminary rounds of competition Saturday in Orlando. The EWMS Golden Eagle cheerleaders were automatically advanced to Sunday’s final round.

Members of the EWMS squad are Cheyenne Godwin, Hannah Gibson, Katelynne Calloway, Ali Martin, Ariel Holland, Mariah Albritton, Lana Clayton, Morgan Ward, Raven Weaver, Reagan Bell, Angel Mitchell, Paeton Hadley, Ashley Mooney, Madison Arrington, Coach Ashley Salter and large number of parent volunteers.

All the students, parents, and community members are so proud of you for your great accomplishment!!! You have represented your school and community well. I have been in this county all my life and very, very few middle school squads even qualify much less place second at nationals……that is just awsome!!!! You deserve all the praise and glory!!!

I just wanted to say that we had so much fun at Disney World and I am glad to have been apart of it! I can’t belive that we got 2nd place in the whole nation. Thank you Mrs. Salter for working us as hard as you did. We couldn’t have done it without you!!!!! Also, I wanted to say that we all worked really hard and I think we deserved it!! The whole entire squad is so AWSOME I love everyone on it!! EWMS cheerleaders are #1!!!!!!!

Even though our girls were the only one’s in their group at regional’s, they still had to have a certain score to compete at national’s, and they nailed that! If you were there you would agree that they looked fantastic. They were one of five teams to compete at national’s, 2nd place was definitely something to be proud of. It was an honor for me and all the other parents to watch our girls compete with such class and dedication. We thank everyone who has put positive and encouraging comments about our cheerleaders.

Wow! I would of never imagined us winning 2nd in the nation! It has been an awesome experience and I am glad to be part of the team! Thanks to all the parents and teachers that helped all of us and that were there for us all! I am glad to tell the world I am an Ernest Ward Cheerleader!! Thanks Mrs. Salter for being the greatest coach ever and being there for us and not giving up on us even when things got really rough or when we looked horrible!! I love you! =)

FROM WALKING AROUND IN THE PARKS TO UP ON THE CHEER MAT PERFORMING, I WAS SO HONORED TO BE A PART OF THIS TRIP WITH YOU. Oh my gracious, I am so happy that we placed 2nd in the nation. We worked really hard, and every bit of it paid off! We couldn’t have done it without Mrs.Salter, she is always so dedicated even through our rough times. Mrs.Salter I love you!We have made memories that we will never forget.I want to say a special thanks to our parents,teachers, supporters,community, school, and Mrs.Perry. We had such a great time at Disney World.

Oh my goodness, i am so happy that we got 2nd place out of the whole nation! I know that every one of us worked as hard as we could to get this far! We overcame everything and gave it our all! This has definately been the highlight of my middle school years! i want to thank Mrs. Salter and every parent who did everything to help us!

Im so happy that we all got 2nd. We did our best!!!!!!! I had fun with everyone there and I am going to miss all of you next year. This has been the best 8th grade year I could ask for. We also couldn’t do this without Mrs.Salter. Thank you Mrs.Salter……We Love You!!!!!!
