Blueberry And Bluegrass Festival Coming To Barrineau Park

A blueberry and bluegrass festival is being planned for Barrineau Park.

Escambia County is hosting a Blueberry Jamboree at the Barrineau Park Community Center and Historical Society. The event will take place on Saturday, June 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Artists and craftsmen are invited to showcase and sell their treasures at this first annual blueberry and bluegrass festival.

The cost for a 10’ x 10’ space is $45. Registration and payment must be received by May 31.

The community center is located at 6055 Barrineau Park School Road in Molino.

    I always seem to miss the one in Brewton so happy to see this one was announced early, I posted it on my calendar.

    So happy we don’t have to drive to Brewton now for a great festival! North Escambia County needs this kind of recognition for the great blueberries that are produced here!

    For all you “festival goers”…check out the Teaspoon Heritage Festival in Century next Saturday 2/28/09 from 10 – 4….live bands, arts and crafts, Pensacola Ballet, and food….see under events on this website…for more info.

    There will also be great contests and activities for all age the day of the festival including a 5k run that morning!
