It’s Cold, And It’s Getting Colder

We are still looking at a cold week here in North Escambia, with lows by Thursday night falling as low as 16 degrees.

Tuesday will be sunny and cool, with daytime highs near 55. The low will be near 25 for Tuesday night.

The forecast for the rest of the week in North Escambia calls for…

  • Wednesday…Sunny and 55.
  • Wednesday night…Clear, low of 24.
  • Thursday…Sunny, breezy, high of 48.
  • Thursday night…Clear and COLD, low of 16.
  • Friday…Sunny and 45.
  • Friday night…Clear and cold, low of 19.
  • Saturday…Mostly sunny, high of 55.
  • Saturday night…Mostly cloudy, low of 28.

    I’m sure there haven’t been anytype of plans addressed with that thru the County. I would contact City Hall in Century. They should be able to help with putting something together or letting you know if something has already been established for the people who might need this.

    You need to ask your civic leaders about that. Maybe they could use a church or school.

    The other day there was an article printed that said “Escambia County is Storm Ready”. With the severe cold threatening the county toward the end of the week, where are the shelters for those in need in the north-end of the county? Over this winter, I found it interesting to hear on local news when we had severe cold fronts that “Santa Rosa County had opened shelters…”. Where are our people in need to go???
