I put in my request for a recycleable container weeks ago and when I got home last night…there it was…..just like ecua said it would be….I agree with another comment..cut these folks some slack… give them time to prove to us we will get better service….of course it wouldn’t take much to better what we had.

I called and was told that there were trucks in the area today because drivers are trying to learn their routes and get familiar with the roads and that they ARE picking up trash that was missed over the holiday weekend. I suppose a lot of people don’t know when their pick up schedule is changing because of a holiday and lots of us forget to put our cans out. I felt bad for the girl I talked to because it sounds like they are catching it from a lot of folks who think this is an easy thing to coordinate and are unwilling to cut anyone any slack. If your trash gets missed, which happens sometimes, call in and they’ll pick it up. Tomorrow, Tuesday IS our normal pick up day. Give these poor folks some time to get things up and running before you start calling for heads. Nobody is perfect.

I was also told everyone would get recycling cans just as soon as possible, there isn’t a “north end conspiracy” or anything, so everyone just be patient and we’ll all get through this together. Sounds reasonable.

I’ve been told the ECUA trucks driving around today are trying to play catch-up since the holiday delayed regular pickups last week. The trucks are still supposed to run tomorrow as regularly scheduled. Again, that is what we were told by Mr. Walker.

The ECUA truck just came by our house here in Bratt. The funny thing about that is Mr. Larry Walker from the ECUA is currently standing in our driveway talking to and answering questions from my parents. The truck kept going as we didn’t have our can out since this is Monday. But suddenly, the truck stops and is just sitting there. Weird….so I peeked out the door and asked, “Is this Tuesday?” I was told no. Okay, so what gives? Guess Mr. Walker will explain that.

My garbage on Greenland Road in Davisville has been out since last Thursday evening, January 1st and it still hasn’t been picked up! I emailed the ECUA on 12/29 asking for a recycle can. They replied to the email this morning saying the can will be delivered no later than January 23rd.

I hate to bust everyones balloons – but the trash truck, just ran on the north-end of Highway 97, picking up the garbage that was out!

Thanks for the info!! For the first time in years I had to burn extra trash since everyone thought the pick-up started on the 6th of Jan, and was unknown to me of the trash pick-up on Saturday Morning when the Trash Truck passed my home. ECUA need to think about extra pick-up during the HOLIDAYS (at no additional charge) since they have cut our service back to one day a week. Living in Molino is just wonderful!! ALL MOST LIKE HOME
