Atmore Christmas Parade Today With Many North Escambia Participants
December 6, 2008
Many from North Escambia will head to Atmore today for the annual Atmore Christmas Parade.
North Escambia participants from Northview High School, Ernest Ward Middle School, Northwest Escambia Little League, the Walnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department and more will participate in the annual lighted parade that ends with a special appearance by Santa Claus. The theme for this year’s parade is “A Nursery Rhyme Christmas”.
The parade, which features about 20 floats and four bands, begins on Main Street at Ridgely Street (one block north of the railroad tracks), heads south on Main Street all the way to Lindberg Avenue and ends at Escambia County High School. It is about a two mile route. The parade begins at 5:00.

Uh Oh, looks like somebody got laid off. Oh well, I’ll be at the parade while you guys beat a dead horse.
Yes, it is a parade for children, however, if adults would follow the rules, as they expect children to do, then this would not be an issue. “You must stand for something, or you will fall for anything.” You can thank Mr. Bell for bringing this ugliness up again.
Come on; EVERYBODY! It is a parade, for children. Who cares where it is located. This is beginning to sound like a gang war.
Mr. Molino, you are SO RIGHT! Perhaps the people who disagree are people who are STILL lying about their residence! Merry Christmas, Mr. Molino!
Wow, Alan (bell?) how adult of you to bring this up again?! Get over it-we are sick of hearing from you!
Yes Alan, Florida people are gonna be in the Atmore, Alabama parade. They honestly filled out the forms, went to the meetings and paid their money. They did not lie, cheat, or steal in order to get their kids in the Atmore parade. The Florida people are playing by the rules. They even used their Florida addresses, not some madeup Alabama addresses.
You mean people from Florida are going to be allowed to participate in ATMORE’s Christmas parade? That is wonderful!!
