Single Vehicle Accident Seriously Injured Two Early Sunday Morning

Two people were seriously injured in a one vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Century.
Two males were ejected from a GMC Sierra that ran down a steep embankment and overturned at least once. The truck stopped rolling just a few feet from a small lake. The accident happened about 2:00 Sunday morning on Old Flomaton Road just north of Campbell Road.
The accident was discovered by a passing Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Both victims were transported from the scene by Lifeflight helicopter. Their names were not immediately released.
The accident is still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Escambia County Fire-Rescue Century Station, Escambia County EMS, Atmore Ambulance, Escambia County Sheriff’s Department and Atmore Ambulance all responded to the accident.
