Saturday Night Kitchen Fire Damages Century Home

A kitchen grease fire damaged a residence in Century Saturday night.

Fire units responded to the single story brick home at 9393 Academy Street in Century at 8:00 Saturday night. The first units on the scene reported light smoke showing. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the home suffered heavy damage in the kitchen and smoke damage throughout.

Fire units from Century and McDavid stations of Escambia County Fire-Rescue and the Fire Department responded.

There were no injuries reported.
