North Santa Rosa Accident Injures Five Friday Afternoon

A north Santa Rosa County accident injured four people Friday afternoon, one of them critically.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Yvonne Yeomans, 67, of Jasper, FL, was eastbound on Highway 4 in the Berrydale community in 1997 Dodge Van. She had stopped at the stop sign at Highway 87; then she pulled into the path of 2000 Chevrolet pickup driven by Robert Weston II, 41, of Pensacola. Weston’s truck struck the van in the passenger door area at about 3:45 p.m.
Yeomans suffered minor injuries. A passenger in her van, Phillis Robertson, 55, of Jasper, FL, was critically injured was transported by LifeFlight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. A second passenger in the van, Yvette Yeomans, 16, also of Jasper, FL, received minor injuries in the crash.
A passenger in Weston’s vehicle, 12-year old William Weston of Pensacola sustained minor injuries.
The FHP says the driver of the vehicle that pulled away from the stop sign, Yvonne Yeomans, was charged with violation of right of way.
