Fire Training Today At Ernest Ward

October 18, 2008

If you see a lot of fire trucks in the parking lot of Ernest Ward Middle School this morning, don’t worry…it’s just a training exercise.

Escambia County Fire-Rescue’s Walnut Hill Station will be conducting an emergency vehicle operations course, essentially driver’s ed for firemen, in the school’s parking lot through about noon.

The day’s event for the trainees includes navigating fire engines around a course made up of about 120 orange traffic cones.
