Northview High School’s NJROTC Wins Big At Gator Games

The NJROTC unit from Northview High School earned several awards at the recent Gator Games. Northview placed third overall at the annual event hosted by Escambia High School.

The Gator Games are comprised of 11 competitive athletic and fun events. Fifteen high schools from across the area participated.

Northview earned six trophies, including:

  • 4th place team sit-ups
  • 3rd place knot tying
  • 2nd place wheelbarrow relay
  • 1st place orienterring
  • 1st place female push-ups
  • 3rd place overall

“It was a team effort, and all the cadets had a great time,” said Northview  Senior Naval Science Instructor Charlie Code.

    Good job NHS, I’m a cadet from Escambia High, and we appreciate you guys participating. It was a lot of fun, and we want to see you guys next year! Execpt we won’t be so nice and let yall win! Hahaha, just kidding ;P

    Great Job!! NJROTC is a great program no matter which high school is represented. I have a son who graduated from Pace High who was in NJROTC and now a daughter who is in the program. It helps make outstanding citizens out of our high school students. Keep up the good work NHS cadets!!!!!

    HOORAH! What a great accomplishment for the NHS unit and you guys and gals even had alot of fun doing it too….even if it did feel like 100 degrees outside that day! Great job…were all proud of you !
