WHAT DOES THE JERSEY COLOR HAVE TO DO WITH OUR CHIEFS WINNING OR LOSING SO GET REAL AND SUPPORT THE CHIEFS ON FRIDAY NIGHTS!!!!

This isn’t about going back to the colors of previous schools. If you look closely, the uniforms are black and GARNET, not black and GOLD. And who cares. What really matters is how they perform on the field friday nights!

these are not the school colors!!!!!!! why can a few people change thIngs? You always wear your school colors. We sent our team far away to play and most of us can’t go to the games and now they don’t even wear the school colors. SOMETHING HERE IS JUST NOT RIGHT

NOW WE KNOW WHY PEOPLE MAKE FUN OF US AND OUR SCHOOL

You know what is wrong with a little change? Undoubtly the people who have made certain comments about the jerseys have never watched college football or even pro football to see that it is something that might add a little fire to the team. What do you have to say about Georgia changing their jersey last year? Instead of people standing back and criticizing why don’t you step up and support. That is why our kids have no school spirit, no pride and no dedication, because parents and people in the community are negative and always have a better way of doing things. You need to get involved and lead our communities forward , there is no Ernest Ward and Century we are one now.

MOST OF THE TEAMS HAVE TWO SETS OF GAME JERSEYS THE OTHERS ARE PROBABLY THE GARNET/WHITE COLOR.THE JERSEYS LOOK GREAT.WHAT EVER THE KIDS LIKE ,IF BLACK MAKES THEM HAPPY AND PLAY HARD TOGHTHER ,THEN ITS A GREAT DECISION.GOOOO NORTHVIEW HAVE A GREAT SEASON, WE WILL SUPPORT YOU NO MATTER WHAT..THANK YOU .

Well, if we are going to toss that coin in, then maybe Northview should have a throw back jersey that is Royal Blue too. My Grandfather, Mother, Father, Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins all graduated from Ernest Ward High School, so if we are honoring colors from the past, why not that one??? When Northview opened, Ernest Ward made up half of that school and is just as much a part of the Northview heritage as Century High School.

At any rate, what we are debating is the color of Northview’s Jerseys, not if they are paying tribute to old schools of the county. Last time I checked, their colors were Garnet and Gold. End of story.

I think NorthEscambia should do a write up about these very different black jerseys. I personally think they look like crap compared to the garnet & gold. Did the players choose the colors?

alot of teams wear a so called “Throw back” Jersey or Uniform, not sure if that is what they are doing or not, but I also graduated from Northview and my father graduated from Century High School, so if thats the case I think it is great for them to honor colors from the past, and if you notice it is outlined in GARNET not red!!!

I have to disagree with you. Yes, the uniforms are nice, but on a team who’s colors are black, red, and white. NOT a high school team who’s colors are GARNET, GOLD, and WHITE. I am a Northview fan and as a graduate from Nortvhiew, it upsets me to see this departure from our traditional colors. The cheerleaders and band are still wearing those proud colors, and yet, our football team will enter the field looking like they should be playing for West Florida Tech. In any case, I will continue to represent the Chiefs on Friday nights, wearing OUR colors….Garnet and Gold. GO CHIEFS! =]

    I THINK THEY LOOK AWESOME!!!

What’s going on with the black uniforms? I thought the school’s colors were garnet and gold. Is this a end-around run at changing Norhtview’s colors to be more like another former school in the county? If the school wants to change the colors, just say so and do it.
