About 100 women from across the area attended  “Loving Well”, a one day women’s retreat by Beth Moore Saturday at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church.

“Today was a very special day and special experience as women from many different churches and denominations came together to worship our King”, said Somer Bridges, Conference Coordinator and wife of Walnut Hill Pastor Ted Bridges.

In addition to the video conference, the day’s events included a continental breakfast, catered lunch, door prizes and lots of fellowship.

“It was just awesome to laugh and sing praises to God with so many ladies”, Somer said. “We took a leap of faith when we decided to have this event, not knowing what the response would be. We never expected to sell out. It was a blessing to all the ladies involved in the conference as well as those working behind the scenes.”

Moore founded Living Proof Ministries, a biblical-based organization for women, in 1994. It is based in Houston, Texas, and it primarily focuses on aiding women who desire to model their lives on evangelical Christian principles.

I am hosting this retreat at our church. we are a small church and I was wondering if you had any ideas for us. Also we are debating on haveing the retreat on friday night and saturday or just having it all day saturday but I don’t want it to get boring all day saturday. We have never done anything like this at our church so I want it to be great. Thanks so much
