Blue Wahoos To Renovate Fields At Century’s Showalter Park

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos will team with area businesses and organizations to renovate little league fields at Showalter Park in Century.
Planned improvements include an overhaul of the infield clay, painting of foul poles, weeding, mowing and trimming required to bring these fields into game-ready shape for the youth of the Century area.
The work is scheduled to take place Tuesday.

All the naysayers who fought Maritime Park and minor league baseball in Pensacola could never have been so wrong. What a good neighbor the Wahoos have become, and if a little league kid can be inspired by playing on great fields, maybe we will get to watch a local kid make it to the bigs……….a big thumbs up to the local businesses and the Wahoos.
Cool to see. Favorite baseball organization doing good in the community. Baseball is such a great sport
